Hi, my name is Tony Strattner. Welcome to my newsletter, Affiliate Marketing Magic.

When I was a business magazine writer and content marketing editor, I needed to craft stories or improve someone else’s copy. The assignment sometimes came with the request to “work your magic,” which I always thought was an odd choice of words.

I know it was meant as a compliment. But to me, there was nothing magical about the finished product. It was the result of careful writing. Followed by even more careful rewriting. The “trick” was simply working at it. Learning the mechanics and techniques of engaging readers while giving them valuable information.

Now I’m learning something new: the mechanics and techniques of affiliate marketing. That’s what I want to give you with this newsletter.

I want to learn the tricks behind the magic of attracting visitors to a website, building email lists, and crafting compelling landing pages. All of which can make me and you money — potentially lots of money. How much money? Well, that’s the question, isn’t it?

The answer seems to be a moving target, with the general advice being “Aim high.” One thing is certain, though: It will depend on how much work we both put into learning these tricks.

I say “we both” because everyone learns by doing. I believe we’ll both discover that, like every good magician whoever delighted an audience, the best magic takes practice. Lots of practice.
